Week 1 Prompts:

1st – 3rd: Anthony @ Keep Reading Forward.
Monday 1st: Halloween Creatures Tag 2.0
This is a tag based on popular Halloween creatures, here is the first one he made but the second will feature better prompts and possibly new creatures!

Tuesday 2nd: Favourite Halloween/Fall Coloured Covers
Gather your favourite covers with Halloween/Fall colours (Orange, Black, Yellow, Red, Brown) and share them in a post. You can also use books from your bookshelves to photograph and share on Instagram if you want.

Wednesday 3rd: Trick of Treat!
Woo, you get to go Trick or Treating! Choose who and/or where you would love to go trick or treating.

4th – 7th: Kaleena @ Reader Voracious.
Thursday 4th: Top 5 Books about Witches
List your five favourite books about witches.

Friday 5th: Creepy Crawlies
What fictional monsters/creatures would you hate to encounter?

Saturday 6th: An Evening of Mystery & Murder
You are hosting a Halloween-themed dinner party and seven of your favourite morally gray fictional characters and/or villains have accepted your invitation. Sometime during the party there is a murder, and there are only seven suspects – you and your remaining guests. Who did you invite, who was murdered, what was the murder weapon, and where in the house did it occur?

Sunday 7th: They Got My Back
Which 5 characters would you want with you during the zombie apocalypse?

Week 2 Prompts:

8th – 10th: Camilla @ Reader in the Attic.
Monday 8th: Gory Magical Sweet
The objective is to create one or more snacks (sweet or savoury is okay) and a drink (if you want) that must be Halloween themed but created with a mix! Use common food elements and parts of our beloved mythical and magical creatures. Just to be clear: things like rainbow unicorn sparkles aren’t gory.

Tuesday 9th: Bookish Monster Bender
You’re transported into a random book but a bad surprise awaits you. Everything is horror and death, because the story is now a monster version of what you know. The objective is to create a monster bender version of book characters. You can choose who you want and imagine a dark horror version of them and their novels.

Wednesday 10th: Local Ghosties Demand a Book!
Chose a horror, supernatural, scary, or ghost story that you’ve heard and is local to your area/home town, or a personal scary experience. Tells us about this and write a blurb too!

11th – 14: Me!
Thursday 11th: Spell List
We’re all familiar with Book Spine Poetry by now. No? Stack up your books in an order that allow the titles to create a poem. For this prompt we’re using horror or Halloween themed books only to line up and create Book Spine Spells!

Friday 12th: Loving the monsters always ends badly for the human
I’ll be exploring my favourite creatures of the night – Vampires – and leaving a recommendation or two.

Saturday 13th: 31 Horror Movies in 31 Days (2)
Throughout October I’ll be aiming to watch 31 horror movies and blogging about them. The number 2 there is because this will be a weekly feature I do where I look at the horror movies I watched that week.

Sunday 14th: Grimoire Notes
A look into the horror books I’ve read so far this month for Spooks and Tea read-a-thon, possibly with some photographs and mini-reviews. This will be my last time to check in before I fly out of the country for the rest of October!

Which are your 5 favourite Halloween movies that aren’t horrors?

Which 5 Thriller books do you love and why?

Saturday 20th: Top 5 Bookish Costumes
Which 5 book costumes are your favourite?

Sunday 21st: Review Time
Review a Halloween/Horror book!

Week 4 Prompts:

Which characters or creatures would die first if they were in a horror movie?

Tuesday 23rd: Bonded, Bewitched, Drowned
A Halloween version of Kiss, Marry, Kiss with your favourite book characters!

Wednesday 24th: Barely breathing, forever haunted
Which books have you read that left you emotionally crippled?

25th – 28th: Soph @ Bookwyrming Thoughts.
Thursday 25th: The Halloween Games
Halloween-themed Hunger Games! How would you survive the Halloween Games – right a survival guide!

Friday 26th: What Spoopy Creature Are You?
Its a quiz! Tunes in on Soph’s blog to find out which Spoopy Creature you are.

Saturday 27th: Toil and Trouble
What villains would thrive at Halloween? Would you wan ta villain as a roommate? Which villain would you  want as a companion in a haunted house?

Sunday 28th: I Summon Thee!
Anything to do with resurrection. Which characters wouldn’t you resurrect? Which characters would you ressurect? etc

Week 5 Prompts

29th – 21st: Clo @ Book Dragons 24/7
Monday 29th: Halloween in a Fictional World
Pick any fictional world that you’d love to experience Halloween in.

Tuesday 30th: Trapped With You
Which characters would you want trapped with you in a Haunted House?

Wednesday 31st: The Veil Is Thin
The 31st October is a day when the veil between our world and the overworld is at it’s thinnest. It was originally a day to ward off evil spirits so what spirits are you hoping to ward off? (e.g. paranormal characters, evil characters, writers block, procrastination…)
