For the month of  October I have planned to watched 31 horror movies!

Keep reading to find out the last 9 movies I watched for this gigantic task! I can’t believe I successfully watched 31 even with how busy I’ve been.

Spooky Q+A: Dawn Kurtagich

dawnAuthor Interview | Dawn Kurtagich
For the month of October I’m hosting Spooks and Tea where we aim to consume as much horror, or spooky, books as possible.

I also wanted to do something a little different and fun this year so I reached out to a few authors to see if any would be interested in taking part, most of them agreed to do a Q&A with the Book Club! I have never felt more blessed.

If you’re a member of Books and Tea you’ll have been given the chance to ask these authors questions, as well as getting to see their answers early.

A bunch of us read Dawn’s work last year so I knew I had to reach out to her in hopes she’d take part and I’m pretty sure I cried a little when I got her reply saying not only yes, but also a giveaway for the members too. I’ve had Dawn’s answers sat in my inbox for a while now but I just couldn’t face editing this post on mobile whilst I was in Seoul and Tokyo so here I am jetlagged and determined to get it live for you now! Keep reading to see what we asked Dawn.

I’ve seen so many of his books in work all the time and always thinking how I need to pick them up, when I emailed him I did so 100% not expecting a reply because I’m just little ol’ me but he did! Keep reading to see what we asked him.

Loving the monsters always ends badly for the human

Blogoween bloodyLoving the monsters always ends badly for the human | #Blogoween
We’re back again, its day two of me hosting Blogoween and today I’m talking about my favourite creatures ever!

VAMPIRES

From what I can remember my love for Vampires started with an amazing movie called The Little Vampire, though it is possible that my love existed prior to this movie, its just this movie is a solid point in my childhood where I made the decision that I would become a vampire…

Whilst I’m older now and the world tells me it is not physically possible to become a bloodsucking immortal, if I had the chance I wouldn’t say no.

Keep reading to find out about some of my favourite Vampires and why its such a long title.

#SpooksandTea: Spell List

Picture1Spooks and Tea: Spell List
Towards the end of last month I mentioned how my book club were hosting #SpooksandTea again!

For part of the read-a-thon we also provided the challenge for members to share their spells!

We’re all familiar with Book Spine Poetry by now. No? Stack up your books in an order that allow the titles to create a poem. For this prompt we’re using horror or Halloween themed books only to line up and create Book Spine Spells!

As this is a spooky idea that I’d love to see more people attempt I chose to also have this as my first Blogoween prompt that I’d host! Yes thats right, today is the start of me hosting BLOGOWEEN *spooky ooooooo*

It is now time for me to share the second one which is the amazing Rhiannon Frater! I was introduced to her work in my early blogging years and I think she’s a staple to the horror world tbh, and I love the fact she’ll sell personalised signed copies of her work on her etsy which makes us international bookworms very happy! Keep reading to see what we asked her.

5 Horror Video Games You Should Play

vgrVideo Game Recommendations| #Blogoween
So I wanted to do a post on horror games to fit into blogoween but I realised I haven’t really played that many. Or at least many that people may think of when thinking of horror games.

You have the big names; the Amnesia series and Slender: The Eight Pages games that shot pewdiepie (one | two) into the spotlight and which for me at least are when horor games became more popular. I tried both of the games named but neither really did anything for me.

Much later we see the rise of the Five Nights at Freddy’s series which I also tried at the height of its hype and wasn’t fond of.

It wasn’t a case that any of these games were too scary to play, they just didn’t offer enough for me to get invested in them. If I were to return to any of these games it would be Amnesia as its a lot more story focused.

But fear not. Or do fear! I do have a small list of games that I can recommend in the horror genre, or at least have horror elements to them.

Horror Authors on my TBR

So I can talk about the horror authors I have read non-stop, because the reality of it is its a very small pile!

So of course its the perfect time to also acknowledge horror authors I want to read!

I shall try and keep this list short to not overwhelm your own TBR piles. Continue reading “Horror Authors on my TBR”
