Books and Tea Book Club | March’s Read-along
Its time for our monthly check-in with what we’re doing over at Books and Tea – for more overall information on my Book Club check out this post! For March we have 1 SFF read-along happening, keep reading to find out more.
I gave the book club the theme of “Urban Fantasy” for March and we had a lot of great suggestions, and I tried to include some too from browsing some Goodreads UF links. As I don’t usually look into sub-genres I did find this one difficult to judge what fit and it turns out one of the ones I suggested won but not everyone agreed it fit the theme.
But am I gonna tell people they can’t read the most popular vote? Nah! But in the future I think I’ll look at changing themes if people aren’t giving enough recommendations for the poll so that’ll hopefully stop something like this happening again.
Anyway, by popular demand our winning book for March’s read-along is:
Renegades by Marissa Meyer
That’s kind of it for next month but for those who don’t know we also launched a secondary server that is directly affliated with Books and Tea, its called Blogs and Tea!
As Books and Tea has grown a lot these past three years we’ve been aware it can be a little overwhelming to those who join just for the Blogger Hub section we had within the book club. Allie had been pondering over the idea for a while and last week we got to work on making this a reality.
Now that Blogs and Tea exists we’ve been able to expand the Blogger Hub and provide a quieter area for any bloggers to support each other in figuring out how to make their blog the best it can be. Whilst this is a new area for us we’ve had some great feedback and have a few ideas for it in the future; and have brought Micro Brew back!
We have two different events happening in April so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Oooh I’ve been wanting to read this! But I don’t know if I can handle another Discord server :’) Might check it out though, you’re in there, so that’s already a plus :)

I’ve heard lots of good things about Renegades, I’ve personally never read any of Marissa Myers work!
For a contemporary I’d recommend Taylor Jenkins Reid’s books because they are really easy to read but tackle tough relationship stuff and that is my kind of book haha.
Renegades is on my TBR, so I may well join in

I cannot wait to see what you all think of Renegades, I have been meaning to pick it up but I don’t think it would be for me! If other people enjoy it I might pick it up!
I have both books for the series… I may just join or idk just yet.
I must drop by at some point just need to set discord up on my new pc. I am looking forward to reading Renegades! It has been sat waiting patiently on my shelf since last Summer.
