Minecraft by Mojang
Genre: Sandbox | Survival
Release Date: 11th November 2011
Bought way back when.
Minecraft is a sandbox video game created and designed by Swedish game designer Markus “Notch” Persson, and later fully developed and published by Mojang. The creative and building aspects of Minecraft allow players to build with a variety of different cubes in a 3D procedurally generated world. Other activities in the game include exploration, resource gathering, crafting, and combat.
Way back at the end of high school and throughout college I lost hours, days, months to this game. The moment I’d get home I would open this game, talk with friends, mine, and organise chests.
But last week some of my online friends decided to get back into Minecraft, or to get it for the first time on PC, so of course I joined them.
Luckily one of them set up and hosted a server so I didn’t have to worry about wrapping my head around that, it seems it remains not super straight forward but do-able if you follow a guide.
I had planned to review another game today but as this has consumed me yet again. Here I am. Trash like always.
I’d probably find this game really boring if I didn’t play with friends as even though I’m a creative, I just dont ever seem to be inspired to build in Minecraft.
So now I get to show you the hard work my friends have done with the resources I’ve helped to collect.
An actual tree house:
The view from the tree house, in the distance you can see a build of another friends and a very large tower of pumpkins which indicates our starting area:
The said starting area that provided a smol base for us to be safe and gather materials. The images of the mine aren’t that exciting but its where I’ve been spending a lot of time.
When I first started typing this post I didn’t think I’d have much more to share but I was wrong. When exploring we came across a Skeleton Horse out at sea, get struck by lightning and become 4! We couldn’t get too close or we’d be hit with arrows so click to zoom in:
After an evening where I’d been busy on PUBG I logged in to find a new build and farm coming along nicely. They’d even gone out to sea to grab those skele-hourses, cute!
This morning I logged on to grab a few images I’d missed and was greeted by a creeper enjoying a ride:
The only downside is my friends are five hours behind so as always my sleeping pattern is terrible!
Hopefully we’ll keep expanding this world and I can stop back another time with some more images of what we’ve created.
The elf girl is my DnD character which my lovely friend Jenny drew.

I know Minecraft is a really popular game and I have tried it but like for you, it never really grew on me. I am glad you could enjoy it while playing with your friends though!
Yeah without a friend group I dont really see the point of it, oops
Minecraft, (in my opinion) is the best game EVER!! Even without friends to play with, I still find it fun and enjoyable. ^-^ Have a great day, my friend!
MusicLover06, I TOTALLY agree with you! I especially love the new Zombie Apocalypse on LifeBoat Network. I also love Survival Games, although I usually try to make peace with everyone… Unless there’s only one other person besides me… :)
