jhmoncrieffAuthor Interview | J.H. Moncrieff
Hey lovely lil bookwyrms! Today I’m so excited to bring to you a Q+A that Books and Tea had with J.H. Moncrieff last month.

She reached out to me for to review Return to Dyatlov Pass which I enjoyed so much that I guess I influenced the book club and it ended up winning as a read-along book too.

As J.H. Moncrieff is a star she agreed to doa Q+A with the book club too, so we all worked together to generate questions and had a great time reading her replies too.

Keep reading to find out more about Return to Dyatlov Pass (yes there are a few light spoilers for this book) + her writing process. Continue reading “Discussing Return to Dyatlov Pass + writing process’ | Q+A with J.H. Moncrieff”

On writing, duologies, and witchcraft | Q+A with Laure Eve

laure eveAuthor Interview | Laure Eve
Last month I teased on my Instagram that I got to interview the breath-taking Laure Eve and how I hoped to have it all transcribed soon.

Unfortunately for you, I lost the bloody audio.

Luckily Laure is such a Queen that she agreed to re answer the questions over email for us so I can still scream about her work.

I’m actually a little sad that I did loose the audio because we had such a great conversation, but once the others go live too I can also edit in links to there so you can experience some of the magic.

Keep reading to find out more about Laure Eve, The Graces, and her future work. Continue reading “On writing, duologies, and witchcraft | Q+A with Laure Eve”

For the love of Merms | Q+A with Tiana Warner, Mermaids of Eriana Kwai author.

tiana warnerAuthor Interview | Tiana Warner
Its really should come as no surprise that I reached out to Tiana in hopes of a Q+A about her Mermaids of Eriana Kwai series with the book club and she was kind enough to say yes!

If you’re unfamiliar with Tiana’s work here is what you need to know; Mermaids of Eriana Kwai is a trilogy she self published from 2014 – 2017 and its made up of Ice Massacre, Ice Crypt, and Ice Kingdom.

The series follows eighteen year old Meela who’s been trained to fight in The Massacre to venture out to sea and slaughter the monsterous mermaids who threaten her island’s survival. She’s already lost her brother to these creatures, but she also has a secret friendship from her childhood – Lysi.

Lysi is a mermaid and after a chance encounter the two became childhood friends, unfortunately Lysi has also been trained as a warrior to protect her Kingdom from the humans who’ve been harming their seas.

At core the series is action packed, a dash of magic, and over coming taught hatred and violence. Oh, did I mention its also features a f/f romance? I got your attention now haven’t I?

Heres some reviews from my book club: Allie | Cat | Alexa | Jenny | Anthony | Arbor

Author Q+A: Nillu Nasser

nnq+aQ+A with Nillu Nasser | author of Hidden Colours

Today I’m super thankful to be able to have Nillu Nasser here on my blog to take part in a Q+A as part of the blog tour hosted by Faye Rogers!

I know how swamped I am with review copies right now so I opted to just be a host instead and had a great time coming up with these questions.

Spooky Q+A: Dawn Kurtagich

dawnAuthor Interview | Dawn Kurtagich
For the month of October I’m hosting Spooks and Tea where we aim to consume as much horror, or spooky, books as possible.

I also wanted to do something a little different and fun this year so I reached out to a few authors to see if any would be interested in taking part, most of them agreed to do a Q&A with the Book Club! I have never felt more blessed.

If you’re a member of Books and Tea you’ll have been given the chance to ask these authors questions, as well as getting to see their answers early.

A bunch of us read Dawn’s work last year so I knew I had to reach out to her in hopes she’d take part and I’m pretty sure I cried a little when I got her reply saying not only yes, but also a giveaway for the members too. I’ve had Dawn’s answers sat in my inbox for a while now but I just couldn’t face editing this post on mobile whilst I was in Seoul and Tokyo so here I am jetlagged and determined to get it live for you now! Keep reading to see what we asked Dawn.
