Patreon Info | Support Northern Plunder
Earlier this month I set up a Patreon. I’d been toying with this idea all year but as Patreon set a date for when they’d implement changes on how the site works I decided it was worth pushing through my doubts and getting it live before hand.
I’ve been tweeting about my Patreon a little bit but tweets do get lost to the wind very easy so it seemed only natural that I have a little blog post with all the handy information on. If you want to head straight to my Patreon you can here.
I’ve been blogging since 2011 and running the book club since 2016. I believe a lot of my readers are content creators themselves and if not you’ve at least seen the amount of time and work I put into my blog and book club. It really is a secondary job that we do for free, and I believe bloggers deserve to be compensated for their hard work. I’ve been consistently putting out content for the past year and want to continue at this pace but the extra support would be beneficial.
So at the end of the book, if you like my content and would like to support me I would be eternally thankful. Just think of this as a way to say thank you, or a tip jar for those who want to and are able.
The money from this Patreon will be going back into helping with bookish content, such as:
🔮 making the move to a self-hosted platform
🔮 paying for domain name
🔮 help when posting bookish packages (trades, gifts, or giveaways)
🔮 help with transport costs for bookish events, which create content
These will all help me put back into the community and ease some of the day to day worries that can be had.
Again, I just want to say a big thank you to anyone who is considering supporting me or even just reading this. It really does mean a lot, I’ll continue to create content either way but Patreon allows me to have a platform to potentionally do so a little easier. Ultimately nothing will be changing here.

🐲 My eternal thanks
🐲 Access to all of my Patreon-feed
🐲 Access to Patreon Polls where you can vote on which post takes priority
🐲 Your name entered three times into a raffle which allows the winner to pick one book from my TBR for me to prioritising to read and review.
🐲 A thank you by name at the bottom of my blog post with a link to your content
🐲 If you’d like; DM time to discuss your content or blog, work together on a collab/guest post, or ask me questions about bookish things.
🐲 I’ll also send 1 hand written letter with personalised book recommendations and tea (gotta keep it on brand) to those who’ve supported for 3+ months.
As my Patreon is still new I haven’t wanted to go overboard with creating content for it as I’d essentially be talking to an empty room. But I have already posted 4 blog posts there early (in fact tomorrows blog post can be read there, and another post that wont be live on the blog till the 27th May), a Priority Post Poll, Behind the Scenes on updates for BBB, and a Sneak Peek for upcoming blog and bookstagram posts
Lastly, thank you for giving this a read but mostly I want to remind readers that nothing will be changing here and to only consider Patreon as a way to say thank you if you can.

You put so much time and effort into your blog and the bookish community and you deserve all of the support <3
;A; thank u amy, i still dont know how i do it or that people are still here reading my content. so rly big big thanks to u
That’s neat!!
I love all the little things you set up for the donors, and I totally agree that we deserve a compensation; even if not a « salary » per say.. this is even more deserving when working with authors/blog tours/etc. As it is such hard work!
I actually thought of doing something similar to pay for self-hosting.. but technically, I guess I could’ve taken my tips from work 😂 I just.. idk, I felt wierd about that as although we are all working hard for our hobby, I didn’t really felt as deserving?
You are everywhere on discord and helping so many people ! I really wish you the best and that it’d work great for you ❤️❤️
Wishing you the very best of luck with this!! 🌸🌍
I’ll have to spread the word around for your patreon, I’m glad you’re setting it up and I wish it the best of luck!!
Wishing you all the luck in the world with you Patreon!
I’m glad you got that push! Good luck! 😊
Looking forward to seeing where your blog goes from here! I have always loved reading your content, and I am excited to see more from you! Thanks for always being willing to help smaller bloggers with your knowledge and support!
So glad you’ve set up a patreon – you deserve the support for all you do in the community!
Good luck!
Book blogging is *so* expensive, I don’t think people realise that.
