A-Z Book Tag | created by The Perpetual Page Turner
Stephanie created this tag as she remembers being a fan of similar ones from her MySpace and Xanga days but made this one bookish themed!
& the very lovely Destiny did this last week and tagged me in it. I promised I’d do it, like I have with others, and for once I’m pulling through and completing this tag.
I’ll aslo tag: Allie | Jenny | Amanda | Lee | Nevs | Adele | Anisa
According to goodreads thats Jacqueline Wilson at 26 books, shortly followed by Akira Hiramoto (author of the Prison School manga) with 20 books. So both very different and from different times in my life.
Oh man, very easily I have to go with The Heart Forger by Rin Chupeco! I loved The Bone Witch so much and THF lived up to everything that I wanted and made me fall even more deeply in love with Tea and her world.
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor, Tower of Dawn by Sarah J Maas, and Return to Dyatlov Pass by J.H. Moncrieff! Its a very blue reading pile.
Tea. Its always tea. I have a lot of tea okay! Fruity ones are my favourites.
It definitely depends on the month, some months I’m very stuck in my e-reader and then others I can’t even face it! At the moment I’m on a phsyical book kick, probably to help me feel les guilty about the amount I own and haven’t read…
Karou! I Felt very strongly connected to her when I first read Daughter of Smoke and Bone and now I guess you know one of the reasons I was blue for so long.
Defintely Love, Simon! I was so sure I wasn’t ever going to read it or enjoy it but alas that was not the case. You can see my full review here.
Are you looking for some vampires? Good! Cause I’m definitely going to pick Silver and Bone by Claudia Cain for a hidden gem. Please read more indie authors guys! This was such a good read.
Probably when I set up my book club, I never once imagined it’d grow so large or be such a vital part of my life. I can’t imagine a day without some of these friends I’ve made. Heck I travelled across the ocean for two of them!
I’m very almost done with The Mermaid’s Voice Returns in This One, I just put it down with possibly 20 pages left to make sure I finish this post before I sleep.
I guess erotica, Christian fiction, or romance are ones I avoid the most. But still get asked to review now and then and I’m very confused by it…
I knew this one instantly, The Stand by Stephen King. It has a whopping 1,327 pages!
It was pretty recently with Girls of Paper and Fire, literally took me a month or so to get back into a proper reading schedule again.
uhhhh, there are 3 in my bedroom but I actually use my wardrobe to store my books. Then there are another 8 dotted around the house if I’m counting correctly.
I’m not a big fan of rereading tbh. I know when I was younger I read the Better Brown Stories a lot simply because I liked how the book felt, it was a very nice hardback copy.
Most of my reading done at home is in my bed, its where I’m comfiest I guess. And less likely to be distracted by a computer.
“If sacred places are spared the ravages of war, make all places sacred.
If holy people are to be kept harmless from war, make all people holy.”
– Silver Surfer
I couldn’t tell you which of the Silver Surfer graphic novels this was from but I photographed
Um the very small amout I read of The Fandom…
Literally any series I have and started I’ve not finished! I listed a few here that I wanna try and get too in 2019.
I’ve already mentioned two; The Stand and Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I guess I have to pick Ice Massacre as my other one!
I mean its got to be Ice Massacre, no? Like who else do I gotta make read that trilogy… cause I bloody well will.
At the time I started this post my copy of The Wicked King hadn’t arrived yet, and well it has now, but I’ve not picked it up yet so that I guess!
Buying books and not reading them straight away! I’m so terrible at this. Do NOT look at my TBR count on Goodreads.
I don’t wanna get up to grab it but I counted and its Shiver by Junji Ito but the Japanese version I picked up in Japan last year! Its lovely.
I’ve only “purchased” one book this year – The Wicked King – but I actually paid for it last year so does that count?
Heartstopper by Alice Oseman!! I read it on a night I was supposed to sleep early and wanted to read just a few pages to help me feel sleepy but instead I spent an hour finishing it. My review will be live on Friday though so check back then.
oooooh fun! I’ve read and loved maybe half of these … gotta resist the very strong urge to check out the other half because the TBR is getting ridiculous π
psst go check them out ;) do it, you know you wanna
πππππππ
Pretty much I haven’t read Ice Massacre π
Happens.
I liked this A-z Tag. Very nice to learn more about you as a person and as a reader and as a mod! :D
thank you dear!! :) you gotta read it this year for sure haha
Thanks for the reminder that I still have this tag on my to do list. I deleted all my drafts because I was too lazy to configure them into blocks, so I have to re-do this one.
no worries! hope you get to it soon :D
Jacqueline Wilson was so my childhood! I also love drinking a cup of tea while reading before bed. I am like you – I switch between ereader and physical books too. I love reading in bed too and also I am glad I gave Simon vs a chance too. It’s not my usual kind of book but I ended up loving it. Buying books is definitely a problem for me too. Hence my current book buying ban! Great tag x
My recent post: https://oliviascatastrophe.com/2019/01/4-mini-reviews-shakespeare-edition/
Yeah im doing well so far this year bc the only book ive bought thisyear i paid for in november so ;) perfect really!!
yess i lread it in like a day or so and that really surprised me bc i rarely do! :)
I love this tag, it’s so fun to read! I’m reading Strange the Dreamer at the moment too! I keep putting off Girls of Paper and Fire because I’m not sure I can deal with the book hangover at the moment haha
man i didnt expect it to hit so hard or consumeit so quickl buti guess being stuck on a plane for so long forced me to embrace it. i hopeu love it when u get ot it
Oh I wanna do this!!
do it!! :)
This looks so fun! I am the same with loving to read on my bed it’s just so comfy!
big mood!! i love being ocmfy :D
Wow, I feel like it’s been a long time since I’ve seen this tag circulate! I keep hearing really good things about Girls of Paper and Fire, I think it’s inching it’s way onto my already-excessive TBR list…
I’m also the worse when it comes to buying books and not reading them right away. But I think that’s a bad habit every bookworm has. =P I can’t believe I haven’t read The Heart Forger yet. I loved the first book so much.
Happy readings! ;)
TΓ’nia @MyLovelySecret
Its the hardest habit to break imo haha. Definitely pick it up! Youre just in time as the final comes out in March ;)
Great post! And, wow, you have so many bookshelves. I only have one. i’m so jealous!
Thank you! They’re not all mine, a few downstairs are my parents tbh :)
Oh, but still, that’s a lot :)
I can’t remember whether I did this tag or not….either way I’m curious about Heartstopper as I loved Alice Oseman’s debut Solitaire and I’ve got Radio Silence to read too.
Im just doing the finale touches to the review now so its ready for tomororw :D
Sitting in bed with a cup of tea and a book is a thing I can relate to. A perfect evening!
KAROUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! loved your answers with this tag Lauren!

Holy wow Lauren that a LOT of bookcases XD we only have one in our house… which is in my room *aherm* surely that’d change once me and Alex move together !
Yaaaaay! I love your answers! <3 And just disregard the comment I left before I saw this, where I was like, "no pressure!" ππ
Also, I’ve had Ice Massacre on my kindle forever and couldn’t remember who recommended it to me. Was it you?! I keep forgetting I have it. π
Possibly me. I recommend it to so many people π
I used to read Jacqueline Wilson books all the time as a kid!
This is such a cool tag, I love your answers!
