State of the ARC | August

August

Don’t forget to visit Ava’s posts as she is the host of this great monthly check in with our review copies.

I’m actually really nervous to see my progress for this month.

Earlier I made a spreadsheet to help me keep track of things and be able to update my graph easier.

Now lets finally get a side by side comparisson of the end of July (left) and August (right):

I wanna throw up a little bit.

I can’t possibly try and pin point why I get so anxious about my TBR pile no, not at all. *laughs myself to sleep*

So lets start with what I read.

From my publisher stack I read Spinning Silver (also in the NG pile), Vox, The Shadowglass, and A Thousand Beginnnings and Endings!

Click the titles to see Goodread pages.

On top of this I also posted reviews of :

Sheets by Brenna Thummler ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Scattered Constellations by Ankita Singh ⭐⭐⭐ | The Fandom by Anna Day ⭐ | The Castoffs: Mage Against the Machine by M.K. Reed ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Mae by Gene Ha ⭐ and Ghost Stories by Whit Taylor ⭐⭐ | Vox by Christina Dalcher ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Fearscape by Ryan O’Sullivan ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Click the titles to see my thoughts on them.

And I have also scheduled reviews for Skin & Earth by Lights

Click the titles to see Goodread pages.

So as you can see I’m a bit behind on scheduling my reviews… I can make up excuses but I know the real two reasons.

1. I started playing World of Warcraft again and 2. theres been a lot of stuff going on at home so I’ve not really had the energy to blog.

I’m really close to being up to date with my NetGalley pile so I’m choosing to focus on those from elsewhere at the moment. These are the four that are my priority at the time of writing:

Sawkill Girls | We Sold Our Souls | Blood Crescent | The Last Namsara

To be honest its not the end of August yet and I’m very likely to be done with Sawkill Girls before its over. How is your ARC pile doing? I hope its better than mine…

How are you doing with your ARCs?

    1. Omg I relate bc I got into WoW again this month!

I think its nice because Im holding myself responsbile for my books and hoenstly since I started doing this I’ve made a big improvement on my ARC pile! Proof can be seen that my NG pile is almost complete.

  1. Well… I made some progress this month with my ARCs due to ARC August, but if I were to actually sort my books like you did, which is an amazing way to sort them actually, I’ll want to cry. So I don’t really want to cry at the moment, so I’ll stay away from organizing that pile lol.

I might sign up for the challenge though, because at this point I’ll take all the help I can get.

Good luck with your reading, hopefully all the things going on in your life that have kept you from reading will resolve themselves. *hugs*

  2. Spinning Silver is on my wishlist. I can’t wait to read it. Sawkill Girls is coming up on my reading pile for this week, I hope. Come see my State of the Stack here. Happy reading!

  3. I hope to write my State of the ARC soon – probably tomorrow or today, depending on life stuff and mood. But I think you did pretty well – there is a big difference between the two graphs and that is awesome! Congrats!

  4. Having a side-by-side comparison is actually genius! I can’t believe I never thought of that. It also looks like a you had some pretty good reads this month, haha.

  5. I am so behind on my reviews, but like you said that you didn’t have the energy to blog – I hear ya! with school starting up and being so crazy, all I want to do is pick my baby girl up after school, hang out with her, and go to sleep! But this coming weekend I am really going to buckle down and force myself to knock at least half of them out – if I am not up at school working in my classroom, OI!
