Rewind: Haul Post (5)

So for those of you who don’t know prior to this blog I used to blog under the same name on blogger (it now redirects here so, sorry, but you can’t check it out) from 2011.

I thought it would be interesting to go back and view my first ever haul posts to see what books I got and whether or not I ever read them.

Previous haul rewinds: one | two | three | four

Ooof this looks like it’ll be a big haul rewind. Its definitely weird looking back on the books I’ve bought and realising well d’uh this is why you’re drowning now Lauren!

And also being surprised at how many eBooks you’ve hoarded away…

We’ll start with the books purchased becase I actually have read some of these.

Uglies, Darkly Dreaming Dexter, and Civil War have all been read! Well… Civil War I had read prior to purchasing so I guess I never technically read my copy but I shall next month as part of my Graphic Novel Read-a-thon (now would be such a great time to have a post to link too to announce this but I don’t so consider yourselves told early).

Invisible Monsters has been read! But not by me [1|2|3]. I sent it around as part of a travelling book project, its currently with Allie so I’ll read it once she gets around to it too muahah.

So yes, that leaves Handling the Undead and Eragon unread. I’m still dying to read the first. The latter I’m not sure of. I’m scared I’m too old now and wont appreciate it, please convince me!

I also read Before I Go to Sleep as it was a borrowed copy as part of my college book club. I really enjoyed it and thought it was great at building suspense. There has since been a movie adaptation which I think did the book justice.

The Fisherman’s Son, Gods in the Machine, and Charlinder’s Walk were all eBooks that I won copies of and um *looks guilty* I haven’t read them.

  1. It’s really easy for ebooks to float to the 3rd page of your device and become lost forever. I put all my unread ebooks in a folder that pops up when I open my kindle and I’ve been a lot better at getting through them since then!

  2. You should definitely read Eragon!! I gave it a reread a couple years ago and also worried I would be too old for it, but didn’t feel like I was. :)

  3. I’m definitely buying and receiving WAY too many books. I need to chill out and stop getting them even if they are free lol. I’m excited to finally get to the Uglies series. I’ve heard it’s really good. I think the author is revisiting that world soon with an upcoming series?? Great post!
